Naples, Florida: This 24–foot–long diorama appears to be a real, living aquarium—without an ounce of water! The diorama’s realistic look was achieved with the use of five layers of translucent and opaque graphics mounted within a 14″ deep space. LED and conventional lighting simulate sunlight shimmering on a water surface. This technique creates visual movement without the use of motors and high–maintenance mechanical systems. Glass panels were used to enclose the diorama.
